Bio

Heather Hodges, PhD is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Reed College. She is interested in how features of the political landscape both cause, as well as address, environmental issues. One vein of research relies on theories from social psychology to explain environmental public opinion and participation across time and space, asking how does "distance" affect perceptions and behavior? Heather is more generally interested in individual and management-level decision-making and is currently working on projects related to social media use, water conservation, and wildfire management.
