Hahrie Han is the Anton Vonk Associate Professor of Environmental Politics in the Department of Political Science. She studies the politics of environmental and social policy, focusing particularly on the role of political organizing, political activism, movement-building, interest groups, and civic associations in political and social change. She is the author of three books, including, most recently, How Organizations Develop Activists: Civic Associations and Leadership in the 21st Century. Her award-winning research has also appeared in many journals, including the American Political Science Review, American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, and others.
